Hello, and welcome to this Newsletter. We hope to include the writings of professionals in a variety of fields, anonymous writings from people wishing to share their experiences, and resources to the public based on need and interest.
Kirsten Rogoff is a licensed marriage and family therapist (#45602) with offices in the South Bay, California. She is trained psychoanalytically, as well as in the specialties of sex addiction and personality disorders. Ms. Rogoff has had an eclectic background including automotive technology, art, music, medical training, and psychology. This diversity is reflected in her style of therapeutic intervention. Each person is an individual requiring their own unique treatment plan. Her professional philosophy is that individuals come into treatment with a complaint, but that is only the surface symptom, not the core issue or driving force. This is what must be revealed and worked through to maintain a new level of health. She is a participant in the patient’s therapeutic quest and seeks to form a united front with the patient in confronting the obstacles to a contented life. Ms. Rogoff works with other colleagues in an effort to continue to think “out-of-the-box” and utilize the experience and perceptions of others to best care for her patients.
